A Wild Night

The wind whistled insanely loudly through the trees. Every leaf was clinging as tightly as they could to their branches afraid that at any moment they might be flung away from their dear trees and into the wild and lonely world. Every flower was swaying dramatically in the wind looking pathetically beautiful. I could see the flickering of a street light some distance up the barely visible path, it flickered in and out of view through the dancing trees.

I fought my way towards it against the roaring wind and after a quite a bit of struggling I reached its light and warmth. Behind me, the wind began to reach the peak and loudest it could possibly increase to and I just about managed to hear a growl from behind me. I whipped around to see the orange glassy eyes of a tiger glaring at me. Its majestic paws began prowling slowly towards me. I looked at it, my heart racing up and down in terror. Just as I was about to turn around and run, I noticed a smaller pare of eyes peering out at the seen from behind the tiger. The tiger was protecting his cub. The tiger continued to creep towards me; my heart continued to scream with the same terror I imagined was bubbling inside the cub. I turned around and ran as fast as I could. The wind whistling through the ferns around my ankles, and deafening my ears. After around three-five mins of full speed running I was forced to stop to catch my breath. My heart beat slowed down as I glanced behind and although I had wasted my breathe , I was glad to see that the tiger had not followed me. This night was one I would never forget.
